11/02/08 - Davis, a senior who received a medical redshirt season after injuries limited him to just two appearances last season, made his first start in more than two years vs. Virginia, taking over for LB Darryl Sharpton. Sharpton (knee) played on a limited basis.
10/10/08 - LB Colin McCarthy (shoulder) is definitely out for the season, Shannon confirmed. But senior Romeo Davis (undisclosed) will be back against UCF.
10/18/07 - LBs Romeo Davis and Glenn Cook and TB Charles Jones are out for the season.
2007 (MEDICAL REDSHIRT):
Played in just two games, missing the first four and the final six games. Suffered a right knee injury in training camp ... Saw his first action of the season on special teams, then played at linebacker in the fourth quarter in the win over Duke...Saw his first extensive action of the season, moving to middle linebacker in the second quarter at North Carolina.
Played in only seven games, with two starts...Finished with 21 tackles and one tackle for loss...Also was a mainstay on special teams...Started the opener vs. Florida State and at Duke...Had a season-high seven tackles vs. FIU.
